Memonza Japan publishes practical English-language planning guides for international visitors. This policy explains how we research, review, update, and fund that work.
Booking rules, prices, opening hours, closures, transport details, and eligibility requirements are checked against the relevant official website whenever one is available. Secondary sources can help us discover a topic, but they do not replace confirmation for a time-sensitive claim.
Every guide shows a last-verified date. That date represents the most recent review of the important planning facts and linked official sources; it is not a guarantee that a business or authority has made no later change.
Most Memonza Japan guides are source-researched. We do not invent stays, meals, purchases, or visits. First-hand experience is described only when it actually occurred and can be stated accurately.
Affiliate availability does not decide which option is described as suitable. Guides can include commission-earning links, but the disclosure appears before the main article and readers pay no additional cost through those links.
Editorial photographs include useful alternative text and a visible credit or source link when required. Illustrative images are not described as the exact shop, hotel, restaurant, or attraction unless they genuinely show it.
AI tools may assist with translation, drafting, comparison structure, data organization, or quality checks. Important claims are reviewed against cited sources before publication, and AI output is never treated as an official source.
A guide must identify its audience and planning question, cite at least one relevant official source, display publication and update dates, and separate confirmed facts from recommendations or editorial judgment. Material changes are recorded in the update history.
When a material error is found, we correct the article, update its review date after rechecking the source, and add a plain-language note to the update history. Time-sensitive alerts can also display an expiry notice so an old release date is not mistaken for a current instruction.
Articles containing affiliate links carry a visible commercial disclosure. Memonza Japan may receive a commission when a reader books or buys through one of those links, at no additional cost to the reader. We do not publish paid rankings disguised as independent editorial recommendations.
Source-researched guides are published under the Memonza Japan Editorial Team byline. The byline describes the editorial method without claiming personal use or first-hand experience that did not occur.
